COMPUTER RECYCLING:
Did you know that every product has a specific life cycle? Computers and smartphones are no exception! Very often, equipment breaks down sooner than it should, and we complain about its defects and buy new ones. Is this necessary? Computer recycling is not only about reducing the production and consumption of new equipment. It is also about caring for the environment, returning used equipment to special collection points and buying second-hand laptops in good working order instead of new computers from a shop. Computer recycling is also a lifestyle that brings tangible value to you and the planet by curbing many processes that are harmful to it. Computer recycling also means clear savings without sacrificing comfort of use. By purchasing equipment at AT-Outlet.co.uk, you support a wise and balanced approach to the environment and are eco-friendly!
CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT IS
1. Resource conservation
Scientists estimate that our natural resources will be depleted within 40 years, yet more and more deposits are being mined to satisfy the ever-growing needs of the West. By embracing the idea of recycling equipment, you are not contributing to the destruction of the planet!
2. Stop inhumane policies
Most computer equipment is manufactured in third world countries under inhumane conditions, for next to nothing. That is how much our convenience is worth. Does the West really need newer and newer equipment? Recycling says no to inhumane policies!
3. Respect for the planet
The world is struggling to deal with the waste generated by tonnes of discarded equipment. These products often end up in third world countries, where, under the guise of humanitarian aid, huge electronic waste dumps are created. You don't have to contribute to this!
TESTED AND RELIABLE EQUIPMENT
Out of concern for the environment and compliance with environmental protection regulations, our company, AT-Outlet, is registered under number E0020011WBW in the Register of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment available at http://rzseie.gios.gov.pl/szukaj_rzseie.php.
In accordance with the requirements of the ACT of 11 September 2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (Journal of Laws, item 1688, as amended), we have concluded an agreement with a processing plant. We operate in accordance with applicable regulations and finance the system for the collection, processing, recovery and recycling of waste equipment.
Please be advised that improper handling of waste equipment poses a threat to the environment, including human and animal health, and is punishable by law. Please familiarise yourself with the rules on how to handle waste equipment.
REMEMBER!
It is prohibited to dismantle and dispose of waste equipment together with other waste. It should only be handed over to companies collecting waste equipment or to processing plants. Article 95 of the above-mentioned ACT states that anyone who, contrary to the prohibition, disposes of waste equipment together with other waste is subject to a fine. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on all electrical and electronic equipment indicates that it is prohibited to dispose of waste equipment together with other waste.
WHAT TO DO WITH USED EQUIPMENT
- Used equipment can be left free of charge at the distributor or at the shop where new equipment of the same type is purchased, on a one-to-one basis! This means that you can leave your old refrigerator at the place of purchase when buying a new one.
- When the distributor delivers the equipment to the customer's home, they are obliged to take away the used equipment free of charge, even if the equipment was purchased by means of distance communication.
- Small, used equipment with dimensions not exceeding 25 cm can be left free of charge in a shop with a minimum area of 400 m² without the need to purchase new equipment!
- Used equipment can be handed over to processing plants or collection points, which include, among others, Municipal Waste Sorting Centres organised by local authorities. The addresses of collection points are available on websites or notice boards of local authorities.
- Used equipment can be left free of charge at a service point if it turns out that its repair is uneconomical or impossible for technical reasons.
- The selective collection and processing of household waste contributes to environmental protection and reduces the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere and surface waters.
